    أنُشئت  معاهد  ‏أبو قير العليا  في عام 1998  تماشياً مع سياسة  الحكومة  المصرية  لتشجيع  التعليم  الخاص  حيث  أصدر المجلس الأعلى  المصري  للجامعات  والمعاهد  الخاصة  رخصتها  والتي  تعتبر صالحة اعتبارا من العام الدراسي 2000/2001.
